What is Gilbert Guild?
The Gilbert Guild is meets the last Tuesday of every month at 6:30 at Gilbert Theater. Please call ahead or e mail admin@gilberttheater.com to make sure the Guild is meeting any given Tuesday. The Guild is Gilbert Theater’s volunteer organization that we use for staffing productions, organizing volunteer labor and general work around the theater.The Guild is a still-fairly new organization where the Gilbert can gather, train, and inform volunteers for our productions. We have many different jobs to fulfill for every show so, it is essential to have a strong contact group.The Guild is run by Toria Jones, our Box Office Manager, who also trains all Box Office staff– one of many positions in the Guild. Michelle Zaun and Sean Hanlin co-manage for Guild and will also be helping train new staff.
As a member of Gilbert Guild, you will have the opportunity to be trained in many exciting professional positions at Gilbert Theater including but not limited to Box Office Management, House Management and Light Board Operation. This is also an excellent opportunity to gain real world knowledge of theater operations as well as donate valuable time to the local theater community.
Beyond volunteering, becoming a member of the Guild has other perks such as community service hours, a further insight into the theater environment, and counts as work and theater experience.Our volunteers are one of our most important resources and the Gilbert Theater values its volunteers because they are an essential part of a successful, growing community theater.Please make sure to share knowledge about The Guild with others– we are still new and growing but plan to build a strong organization of dedicated workers.

- Technical Support for Gilbert productions.
- Administrative Support (office, box office, board meetings, etc.)
- Fundraising
Typical Meeting:
We meet at Gilbert Theater every month. The first half hour (roughly) is social time. Meet new people and see familiar faces. The first order of business is a recap of the work that was done the previous month. We then discuss UPCOMING work and social events. From time to time a small project is tackled.

What we need:
- We need members! We need YOU! We need your friends! We need your kids! Join us for our meetings!
- Your attention! Nothing will grow the Gilbert’s network as much as a strong core network of people who love and support our mission. This is a tremendous opportunity to grow our influence in the community and in my opinion, it will be worth every bit of attention you can provide. I am available to join your meetings to provide updates, answer questions and of course request things for our volunteers.
